This multi-tier, 240 square foot deck, replaces an smaller existing deck. The upper tier provides a larger platform from the upper floor of the home and has a flight of stairs leading to the lower tier which abuts a hot tub.
5/4″x6 brown PT. decking rests on 2×8 PT. deck joists. A wood post and rail guard with metal balusters encompasses the upper tier of the deck and flight of stairs, while the lower tier does not have a guard. The piers support 6×6 PT posts and are built from concrete sonotubes with belled footings.
