This deck is an extension to an existing deck and abuts an existing above grade pool. At just over 90 square feet, the deck has a flight of stairs leading from the existing deck to the new, and also has a flight of stairs that lead to the rear yard.
The aluminum guard pool enclosure has lockable self-closing gate with latches at the base of the stairs. There are both aluminum pickets and glass inserts. The deck framing is constructed of 5/4″x6 brown PT. decking with 1 row of picture framing on 2×8 PT. deck joists. The piers are constructed with concrete sonotubes with belled out concrete footings.
