This +/- 365 square foot deck is a lower tier extension to an existing elevated upper tier deck. A hot tub on a concrete slab is incorporated within the new deck. A flight of stairs leads from the upper to lower tier, and two additional stair flights lead to grade. The new tier also has a privacy wall along the West side.
The deck is framed with 2×8 PT. joists supporting 2×6 brown PT. decking with one row of picture framing. A wood post and rail guard with metal balusters encloses the perimeter. The piers are constructed with concrete sonotubes with belled out concrete footings.
