This elevated 16′-11″ x 16′-0″, 184 square foot deck is a replacement for an aging, existing deck. Along with enlarging the original footprint, the flight of stairs to the rear yard now runs alongside the deck instead of leading straight out.
The deck is framed with 2×8 cantilevered PT. joists with 2×6 brown PT. decking with one row of picture framing. The guard is constructed with wood posts and rails with metal balusters. The piers are constructed with concrete sonotubes with belled out footings.
