This 2-tier, 283 square foot deck replaces an existing deck of similar size.
The low-slope roof over the deck has been removed, and a privacy wall with louvers added facing the neighbouring yard. A new lower tier of the deck is set on an angle to face the centre of the rear yard.
2×6 brown PT. decking with picture framing has been installed, along with a guard comprised of wood posts and rails with fence board balusters. The lower tier does not require a guard due to its proximity to grade. Piers with concrete belled footings support the deck.
