There are two aspects of this project. The first is a storage room addition measuring 8′-0″ x 10′-0″ and the second is an entry deck measuring 16′-0″ x 28′-0″.

The addition is stick-framed with 2×8 floor joist on built-up beams, 2×8 rafters and 2×4 ceiling joists. The structure rests on a pier-type foundation composed of 6×6 PT. posts on concrete sonotubes with belled out footings. The addition is insulated with spray foam insulation in the floor and batts in the wall and ceiling. It is cladded with vinyl siding on the walls and asphalt shingles on the roof.

The deck is built from 2×8 PT. joists with 5/4″x6 PT. decking. A metal guard encompasses the deck. The foundation system is the same as the addition, with 6×6 PT. posts on concrete sonotubes with belled out footings.
