This existing bunkie was expanded by adding two 16′-0″ x 5′-0″, 80 square foot covered porches to each end. A further 48 square foot, 16′-0″ x 3′-0″ open deck was added which extended beyond the lakeside covered porch. A new roof over the covered porches was tied into the main roof to create a dutch gable roof.
The decks consist of 2×6 PT. decking on 2×8 PT. joists and hung from 2×8 PT. beams anchored to pier blocks pinned to bedrock. The roof is framed from conventional roof joists with shingles.
