This 31′-0″ x 29′-0″, 399 square foot deck, replaces a small side entry deck. The new deck provides egress from the dwelling from the 2 sets of patio doors to the rear yard. Two sets of stairs lead to grade; one to the rear yard and one to the front yard.
This deck uses 2×6 brown PT. decking which rests on 2×8 PT. deck joists. A metal post and rail guard with glass insets surrounds the deck while the stair guard uses metal balusters. The piers support 6×6 PT posts and are built from concrete sonotubes with belled footings. Hatches provide access to under the deck, which is closed in with fence boards.
